  1. 1. I like the close up idea that you've followed from your magazine pitch.
    2. I can tell by the big names you've used on the cover such as "arctic monkeys" etc. and the name of your magazine is also a nice hint.
3.I like the pictures around the outside of the contents page, however, is it too simplistic? it looks a little like a book and not much like a magazine, however it does fit the theme of your magazine.
    4. I think the images help to link the pages together and the colours all interlink the pages too. The use of the same fonts helps to give your magazine a sense of identity.
    5. i would change the size of the font on your front cover and on the double page spread as it could be a main feature, however, it does still work, i think you could maybe stick to one font to help make it more simplistic.
    6. if i was a girl, i would pick this up as it has interesting and intriguing images from a girls point of view, however, as a male, i would not.

  2. 1. I think the photography is pretty interesting and different, and the colours of the page complementing the colours of the artist.
    2. If I hadn't already heard of the artists on the cover then I guess the title 'unplugged' is fairly relevant to music.
    3. I like the use of images and the border you have created, however I think the layout of the contents could be improved. There is quite a lot of white space and the text could look better.
    4. Yes, due to similar font and photograph styles. As well as colour scheme.
    5. Maybe the use of white everywhere makes it a little dull, or make the font stand off the page a bit (i.e shadows).
    6. Mainly due to genre no, but if I was a fan of that genre then probably :)

  3. Q)What do you like about the magazine cover?
A)I like that the picture and the text are evenly matched in size, also i like the colour scheme as the colours are not over the top

Q)How can you tell it's a music magazine?
    A) I can tell it's a music magazine because of the artist name's on the cover, they are big names so people will know them, also the magazine name relates to music

Q)Is the contents page lay-out suitable?
A)I think it is highly suitable, as you can get all the relevant information needed.

Q)Do the cover, contents and double page link together? Why?
A)The use of the fonts links the pages well, also the colours on the pages are similar.

Q)What would you change about any of the magazine?
A)The only aspect i would change is the contents page, slightly, i would add less pictures, and more text.

Q)Would you pick it up from a shelf? Why?
A)I think the magazine is very female orientated, so as a male- this probably would not be my first choice. But it is very aesthetically pleasing.

  4. What do you like about the magazine cover?
    - I like the close-up photo, the way the eye is really open and draws the viewers eye into it. The title it also a good feature.

How can you tell it's a music magazine?
    - As ive said the title works both well on the front cover and promoting the music style. Not only this its the real band names that shows the magazine is of the music persuasion

Is the contents page lay-out suitable?
    - I think the layout is suitable for the magazine, what I do think you can do better is use more people than just you Abbie and Georgia as it makes it feel like the only people in the magazine is those.

Do the cover, contents and double page link together? Why?
    - It defiantly does as you have the same font, also the photos of Abbie with the close up links in with the cover of the magazine, although I do think there is a difference with the colour palette that could be changed to create a strong connection

What would you change about any of the magazine?
    - Apart from what I have already said there isn’t much really I would change, I would just suggest that you add more information on the cover.

Would you pick it up from a shelf? Why?
    - Personally I don’t think I would, this is because it seems more of a female magazine. Which if this is your target audience is fine.
